Tuesday is my CW night. I watch the new 90210 because I’m admittedly lame. It’s mildly entertaining. The fashion is fun. The school seems pretty awesome. And some of the boys are cute. (I’m a perv.) … But I’m not about to push Beverly Hills on you if you’ve sworn it off … or if you’re not a fan … or if you’re too loyal to the original. I will try, however, to convince you to watch the show that comes on afterwards. Cheesy, over-the-top, silly, corny … Yes, yes, yes, yes! I love Privileged.

The show is about a bright-eyed college grad who takes a job tutoring two bratty, spoiled richie-rich sisters in Palm Spring. It’s not a genius, brand-new concept. It’s something we’ve seen a thousand times. But nevertheless it’s fun and colorful and cute.

P.S. I LOVE the show’s leading lady: JoAnna Garcia … (You might recognize her from the way-too-short-lived series, Reba. I watch re-runs of that show EVERYDAY. I’m not ashamed. It’s so good.)

So, I guess there are quite a few movies I’m lookin’ forward to seeing … And here’s another one to add to my ever-growing list: Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist.

This unconventional romantic comedy looks sooooooo cute! And Michael Cera is in it, so I’m automatically sold. (Honestly, I watched him on David Letterman a couple nights ago and Michael Cera is his cast-type character. He lives it. Awkward. Lanky. Uncomfortable.)
Kat Dennings kinda irritates me … Her screeching tone in The 40 Year Old Virgin … her over-the-top “loser-girl” portrayal in The House Bunny. BUT she looks kinda pretty in the previews for N&N … and I think this role might make me reevaluate. If she’s good enough for Michael Cera … I guess I can keep an open mind. Check out sneak-peek stills from the movie on Glam.com.
Synopsis: Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist is a comedy about two people thrust together for one hilarious, sleepless night of adventure in a world of mix tapes, late-night living, and live, loud music. Nick (Michael Cera) frequents New York’s indie rock scene nursing a broken heart and a vague ability to play the bass. Norah (Kat Dennings) is questioning pretty much all of her assumptions about the world. Though they have nothing in common except for their taste in music, their chance encounter leads to an all-night quest to find a legendary band’s secret show and ends up becoming the first date in a romance that could change both their lives.

I love Greg Kinnear. I do. I think he’s so handsome and charming. I loved him as the original host on Talk Soup. I loved him in the remake of Sabrina. I loved him in As Good As It Gets, Stuck on You, Little Miss Sunshine, Baby Mama … etc. etc. I’m sure I would love him in Ghost Town if I could find five spare seconds to go see it. I’m happy that his career seems to be thriving right now. He kind of went MIA for a few years there … so it’s refreshing to see him pop up in so many high-profile flicks.

I’ve heard great things about his latest movie, Flash of Genius … Can you say Oscar buzz? Check out some sneak-peek stills from the movie on Glam.com.
Synopsis: Based on the true story of college professor and part-time inventor Robert Kearns’s (Greg Kinnear) long battle with the U.S. automobile industry, Flash of Genius tells the tale of one man whose fight to receive recognition for his ingenuity would come at a heavy price. But this determined engineer refused to be silenced, and he took on the corporate titans in a battle that nobody thought he could win.
