I feel like I have been on a nonstop roller coaster ride the last few months. Even my vacations are filled with stress because I am always working! I know, I need to stop taking myself so seriously but I panic when I don't have my entries done! Add to that the stress of jet lag in different time zones, eating at odd hours and inconsistent exercise and you have a recipe for aging. At this rate I fear I will turn in to this lady if I continue! And yes, I know the answer to a healthy lifestylebalanced diet, exercise and relaxationis key to helping mitigate its effects on the body, but to bolster the skins ability to respond to stress, I need a cure. I guess I should also stop drinking wine but, hey, nobody's perfect, except maybe "The Cure" - the answer to my woes! I always turn to NATURA BISSÉ in skin emergencies and lucky for me, the line has developed a new anti-aging skincare cream specifically designed for the modern lifestyle of a fast paced fashion blogger on the go! THE CURE helps skin repair and prevents further damages caused by my extremely demanding lifestyle. Based on a triple line of defensehydration, detoxification and restorationTHE CURE is suitable for all skin types. I just got mine and the minute I massaged it in my skin it looked revitalized, radiant and supple. And it smells yummy from the mango seed and other natural oils. It also feels exceptionally smooth and soft, like fresh whipped butter. I want to rub it all over my body but would need a new jar each week and who can justify that kind of cost? I am no Kimora Lee and lack fabulosity so I'll have to stick with indulging it on my face. Price: $ 190 for 1.7 oz. Jar At Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, and select luxury stores.

Sun Exposure: Is the Risk Worth the Pleasure?
By: Rick K. Wilson, M.D. Director, Preventive and Cosmetic Dermatology, Cooper Clinic at Craig Ranch. The golden tan that people love is actually an injury response to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) damage. Combine that with multiple dark moles and your risk of skin cancerpossibly fatal melanomaincreases dramatically. Fair-skinned individuals have an even higher risk of skin cancer at a younger age. Yet, you can control many of the cancer risks by getting a meticulous skin examination. Malignant melanoma, or black mole cancer, is now the No. 1 fatal cancer in young women 26-28 years of age. And, the overall risk of melanoma has risen dramatically from one in 1,500 in 1920 to one in 63 at present. More than 1 million skin cancers are detected annually in the U.S. with 10,850 deaths from skin cancer8,110 of those from melanomaaccording to the American Cancer Society. An estimated 60,000 new cases of melanoma are anticipated for 2008. Thats why early detection is life saving.

24skin-600.jpg The NY Times recently ran a story in their Fashion & Style section reporting on a trend that has brides sending their bridesmaids to the spa to get Botox before the big day. If however the thought of a needle in your face scares you, there are a handful of Botox alternatives -- from glycolic acid products like the newly launched AB Skincare line (which is used in chemical peels), to Stem Cell Technology in products like Amatokin, and even drug store products like Neutrogena Healthy Skin that use Retinol. sfsd.jpg adsa.jpg aa.jpg More after the Jump!

christina_applegate.jpg I always hoped Id grow up to be so confident and careless that Id leave my house with nothing on my face besides a natural sun-kissed glow 8-) While that dream hasnt exactly panned out, Ive discovered you can go low-maintenance with your makeup and still look great using some key products. For a list of product suggestions to show off your natural glow a la the beautiful Christina Applegate, see below! For the Base: Smashbox Compact Anti-Shine ($28) this is great for oil control. It absorbs shine leaving your face with a natural, clean look. It also contains tea tree oil, aloe, and vitamin E to fight acne and sooth your skin, if however youre getting ready for a truly special occasion get an airbrush tan! I tried it for the first time last week when I went to Sundara ($78, full body; $30 face only) and its long lasting (about a week), even, and natural looking. They customize a color palette specific to your skin tone/what youre looking for and can even highlight/shade certain areas to make you appear trimmer just make sure you dont sweat/shower within the first 8 hours or youll get a little streaky (I learned the hard wayeech!). For your Cheeks: To bring out your natural glow NARS Blushes ($25) come in an range of translucent, natural shades, each with a subtle amount of pink to highlight your complexionirresistible:) More after the jump!

lustertwin.jpg I hope you have all been enjoying your Summer, because I just saw the newest collection from MAC and got slapped in the face with Fall. We all knew it was around the corner, and I'm sure quite a few of you have already been selecting pieces from new collections to add to your fall wardrobe and makeup bags. But did you really think it would be here so soon? Well, after a full summer of lovely brights paired with sublime nudes, MAC's new collection is here to tell us that fall colors are here... BAM! I must say that this idea of giving us 2 shades in 1 makes it much easer for me to accept the inevitable. And I must say, I have seen a lot of fall color palates- but this one feels like a new take on an old classic. I love that they truly have something for everybody here, some lighter pinks tossed in with the darker burgundy- no doubt you see at least one pairing that you would love to add to your makeup bag. luster2.jpg Click the link below for fall nail colors from MAC!!!
