Hand Wash
Lavander
Experience the rich moisture hand wash that leaves your hand clean, fresh ans soft.
I’ve been in the market for a bottle of hand wash which will sit comfortably in my now pink en suite. Initially, I was only looking for something functional and not really gunning for anything “pretty”. I reckon anything that works and inexpensive will do but a trip to a warehouse type supermarket lead me to discover this particular brand imported from Thailand.
For you folks who are familiar with aromatherapy, you’d know that Lavander (Lavandula Argustifolia) is known for its relaxing attribute. And, personally, I love its scent. It doesn’t hurt that it’s in purple that will match the motif of my en suite (and room) perfectly.
Now I’m using something that looks pretty (something that matches!) and beneficial (skincare + aromatherapy) too.
Best bit about the purchase is that it’s pretty affordable. I got it for only Php 89.00 (around $1.75). This made me think that it’s a good gift idea for the holidays. Have you guys done your Christmas shopping yet? Perhaps you can grab a bottle of this hand wash for your friends!
P.S. I’ll soon share something on aromatherapy real soon. Stay tuned!

Ladies (though not discounting the men who are also present) gathered at The Loft in Manansala Tower located in Rockwell, Makati City on the night of the 25th to delve into the much awaited OLAY skin care line which promises a science which will help achieve a laser-less treatment for regenerating younger beautiful skin. Fashioned in black and red, all welcomed Regenerist, the laser-less option for cell regeneration.
The SkinDeep program was hosted by OLAY Ambassador Daphne Osea, who eased the audience into a no-nonsense talk on laser treatments, anti-aging and what the Regenerist line offers. Leading dermatologists Dr. Ma. Pia Lagdameo-Leuenbeger and Clarissa Villarama-Cellona, MD, FPDS helped point out differences (aging process) on skin of women in their 20s, 30s and 40s, and answered questions on anti-aging treatment options like the laser treatment.
P&G Beauty Skin Care Scientist David Khoo, M.Sc. took the stage to talk about the science behind the OLAY Regenerist line, highlighting the two (2) amino peptides present in the skincare line, KTTKS and Carnosine. He managed to educate the audience on an otherwise complex science in under 10 minutes. This beats the video tele-conference I attended with select media last month, wherein David introduced and patiently explained the science behind Regenerist and not to mention patiently answering all our questions.
Other OLAY Ambassadors Miriam Quiambao and Isabelle Diaz-Daza (not in photo) also made an appearance to talk about the brand that they all love and re-cap what had happened during the OLAY Regenerist Pre-Sale Event.
Of course, the night won’t be complete without the unveiling of the latest OLAY Ambassador, specific to the Regenerist line, Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales. 41-year old Tweetie is one of the select few who had first tried the Regenerist line here in Manila and have seen its benefits, hence, her taking on the role as an OLAY Ambassador.
After over a month (close to 2 actually!) of blogging about the arrival of OLAY Regenerist here in Manila, I can finally cap things off with the launch event re-cap. While others are just starting to enjoy Regenerist (either the complete set that came with the invite or the serum + cleanser they got as an event freebie), you can actually read the reviews I’ve done on the Regenerist line. The sooner you learn more about the skincare line, the sooner you can try them out yourself, yes? Here are the quick links to the reviews:
OLAY Regenerist Regenerating Serum
Day Cream: Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream (Perfecting Cream)
Eastern Experiments: OLAY Regenerist Eye-Lifting Serum
I reckon these three (3) products are key to the Regenerist line, esp the Regenerating Serum and Eye-Lifting Serum.

OLAY
Regenerist
Eye-Lifting Serum
Visibly lifts, smooths and brightens the entire eye area for firm eyelids, smooth corners and even-tone under eyes.
The OLAY Regenerist line introduces the amino peptide complex which provides skincare at the cellular level. It claims to produce results like as if you had laser surgery. The amino peptide complex hydrates to firm and visibly lift skin around the entire eye area.
There are two things that came out notable from my experience with the Eye-Lifting Serum. One, consistency is light and smooth enough that you can apply it day or night. Upside is that you can apply this skin care product anytime and as frequent as you need or want to. Downside, a 15ml tube won’t last you very long. And two, the light formula is workable even under makeup. I can’t say it’s a good primer but since it’s easily absorbed by the skin, applying makeup over it didn’t cause any problems.
Suggested Application: Use morning and evening, apply on cleansed skin. Place small dots around the eye area - under eyes, outer corners, eyelids - and smooth in until thoroughly absorbed.
What the Eye-Lifting Serum looks like:
Of all the eye creams (serum for this matter) I’ve tried, this one will definitely NOT take home the prize. I admit that I’d choose the Nivea Visage DNAge Cell Renewal eye cream over this eye serum.
Though it’s true that the skin around my eyes is “velvety” smoother, it still lacks the firmness that I had expected. This is after using the product for more than a couple of weeks. It did even out the tone, thus, making it look brighter but I have problems with puffiness under the eyes and am experiencing fine lines (laugh lines) in which the serum didn’t help me out. Still haven’t finished my tube yet so there’s still room to see if it’ll work down the road.
My aunt, who came from Canada, is a huge Regenerist fan, though. She believes that it’s perfect for women her age (she’s in her early 50s) and Total Effects are for women in their 30s. Does this mean I should really look into the other line? My mum (in her 60s) just started using Regenerist so it will take a while before we can see notable results.
